This attack will only happen during the second phase of the boss fight. Just move out of the way and you should be fine, he will be vulnerable to attacks since it has a long cooldown as well. The Hell Guard will fire a flamethrower in your direction after a short delay. The Hell Guard will fire a beam of energy in your direction, the best way to avoid this is to just move to the side. You can also just move away from him and fire at him, he'll eventually stop spinning. You can stun the Hell Guard by dealing enough damage to it, so that is the recommended way to stop this attack. The Hell Guard will start spinning and go in your direction. Just stay behind the boss and you should be fine. The Hell Guard will fire three beams of fire in your direction at a rapid rate. Just jump over everything and you should be fine. The Hell Guard will throw his weapon like a boomerang, and it will leave a ring of fire that will go in your direction as it moves. Once he stops spinning his shield will go down and then he will spin the flames in the opposite direction. If you hit him hard enough when he stops spinning, he will get stunned and not continue the attack. Just jump over them and then hit the Hell Guard once he stops spinning. The Hell Guard will spin around while shooting out flames. An alternative version of this move is used by the second phase Hell Guards where they only fire 1 Energy Ball. You can either double jump over them or shoot them to stun the Hell Guard. The Hell Guard charges for a second and then shoots out 3 Energy Balls in your direction. The Hell Guard jumps up and slams down onto you, releasing a wave of fire that will damage you if you don't jump. The Hell Guard slams down his club in your direction. The Hell Guard will slash at you with his club. They also drop a lot of pickups, so be sure to pick those up whenever you have the chance and it should improve your chances of winning. Try to keep both of them in your line of sight and you should do fine, just remember to keep moving and you should beat the boss! The boss isn't too difficult during the first phase, but once you have to deal with two Hell Guards you will have difficulty managing both of their attack patterns. Once he dies, another two Hell Guards will come up but they will not have the shields like the first phase. He'll drop this shield when he goes on the offensive, so keep an eye out for when he'll attack and be sure to hit him during then. The first phase you will fight a single Hell Guard, who will have a shield around him that makes him immune to damage. Once you kill the demons in the next area, continue on and you'll fight the second boss in the game, the Hell Guards!
